2016 European Under-17 Championship
The 2016 European Under-17 Championship will be hosted by Azerbaijan from 5 May to 21 May 2016 and will feature 16 sides split into four groups. Teams face each other once in the group stage before the top two sides in each group progress to the quarter-finals. France are the holders after success in Bulgaria in 2015.

Qualification
Qualification for the final tournament took part in two stages, with the initial qualifying round staged in October 2015 and the elite round of qualification being held in March 2016. Azerbaijan qualified automatically as hosts. For more on the qualification rounds for the Championships, see 2016 European Under-17 Championship (Qualifying).
The 16 teams taking part are: Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine
