Aaron Hayden

A neighbour spotted six-year-old Aaron doing kick-ups in his back garden and invited him to trial for a local team. The trial was a success, and from that club he went through several others before getting another trial, this time at Chelsea, when he was eleven. This too was a success, and he spent four years there. They switched him from an attacker to a defender. Although he enjoyed his time there he feels that he was written off a little easily following two injuries. He rebuilt his fitness with the help of a personal trainer, ballet, and Tai Chi, amongst other things, and joined Wolves when they offered him a scholarship in 2013.

He was a nominee for the 2014-15 Wolves Academy Player of the season, which was won by Regan Upton.

Ahead of the 2015-16 season, Aaron was one of a small group of U21 players who travelled with the first team to a fitness camp in Clairefontaine, where he took part in two friendlies. Then on 6 August he joined Newport County on a 28 day loan, making his professional debut in a league two game away at Cambridge, which was a 3-0 loss. The loan was extended, but the second month was cut short and he returned to Wolves on 16 September 2015.

Aaron was selected for England U16 for a Victory Shield match against Northern Ireland.
