Youth career
Christian made his youth team debut while still an Under-16 in 2013-14, going on to make eighteen appearances in the campaign. Maghoma made a further twenty starts for the Under-18 team and captained the team on occasions during the 2014-15 campaign. The strong centre back appeared on six occasions for the Under-21s and scored his first goal in a 2-0 win over Fulham in May 2015.

Christian has represented England at Under-16 level.
