Youth career
Axel signed for Manchester United back when he was still at primary school. Most comfortable as a centre back, he is capable of playing in a central midfield role if needed. As a schoolboy he made 9 appearances in 2013/14 and even captained the Manchester United U-18 side on more than one occasion.
Axel was given the full time captaincy of the Under-18 side for the 2014/15 season and has formed a good centre back partnership with RoShaun Williams. His consistent form and strong leadership have seen him included with the U-21 side and he has been touted for the First Team in the future.
