Youth career

Armstrong joined Newcastle as an Under-10 and progressed steadily through the ranks. He made his first team debut as a 17-year-old in March 2014 and went on to make three further appearances for Alan Pardew's side in the 2013-14 campaign.

International

Adam has represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level.

Career honours

Adam was part of the England Under-17 squad that won the UEFA European Championships winning Netherlands in the final on penalties.
