Joe is a versatile member of the Manchester United U-21 side. He can play as a right back, right winger or in central midfield.
In the 2014/15 season, Joe found himself primarily used in midfield positions and was the Under-18 team's leading assister. He made his Under-21 debut in September 2015 and found himself in a new role at left back, a position he retained during the season. In February 2016, Joe was included on the substitutes bench for the First Team away to FC Midtjylland and made his debut as a half time substitute in the FA Cup tie away at Shrewsbury Town. Joe made his first start in the return leg at home to FC Midtjylland.
