Nick joined Manchester United in the summer of 2012 from Crewe Alexandra with an already big reputation. He favours the number 10 role behind a striker but it was suggested he'd be converted to a central midfielder long-term. He had a few first team opportunities in his first season at the club and scored on his debut against Wigan. Towards the end of his first season he had back surgery that meant he was out of action for a few months.
Having regained his fitness late in the summer, Nick played one game with the Manchester United Under-21 side before moving on loan to Wigan for the season. Despite a few injuries during his loan spell he made more than 40 appearances and averaged better than a goal every four games playing in the number 10 role.
Following a series of injuries, Nick made his comeback to football for the first team away to MK Dons in the 2nd Round of the 2014/15 League Cup. He joined Leicester City on loan for the 2014/15 season but was recalled by Manchester United in January after he failed to break into the Leicester team.
