Angelo Henriquez

Angelo Henriquez is a forward currently playing for Dinamo Zagreb.

Youth career

Angelo joined Manchester United from Universidad de Chile in September 2012. Having already made his senior club debut and on the fringes of the Chilean national side, Angelo arrived with much promise. He had been on Manchester United's radar for a while and had been for regular trials and training sessions at the club since the age of 15 when a first option agreement was put in place. He spent his first few months at Manchester United settling in with the Under-21 side before joining Wigan on loan in January 2013. Despite barely playing for Wigan he was commended by Roberto Martinez for his dedication in training and desire to learn.

He began the 2013/14 campaign by featuring in one pre-season game with the first team and eventually joined Real Zaragoza on a season-long loan. He started in Zaragoza's first team but soon picked up injuries that would limit him to less than 25 appearances.

He joined Dinamo Zagreb on loan for the 2014/15 season after new Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, opted not to include him in his first team plans. Dinamo had the option to purchase Angelo on a permanent deal at the end of the season and after a successful season they exercised the option.
