Connor Johnson

Connor Johnson is a defender currently playing for the Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-18 team.

Youth career

Johnson was spotted by Northampton Town's development coaches playing for a team called Aztec, based in Rothwell, when he was five. He joined the Northampton academy and stayed there right through until he was 16, but he missed out on a scholarship. Michael Jacobs lived nearby and was a family friend, and he advised Johnson to try Wolves. He initially joined at U16 level, but was awarded his scholarship within a few months. He made his Under-21 debut while still a first-year scholar, in a match against Stoke towards the end of the season.
