Nicolae Carnat

Nicolae Carnat is a forward/midfielder currently playing for the Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-18 team. His first name is sometimes rendered as Nicu or Nicuşor, both of which are diminutive forms of the Romanian name Nicolae.

Youth career

Carnat joined Wolves as a sixteen year old. He's been playing from the age of eight, and studied at the Gheorghe Hagi academy. His first hat-trick in Wolves' colours came in a 0-8 Under-18s win at Everton on 28 November 2015.

Nicolae has played for Romania at several age groups. He was in the Romanian U17 Championship Elite stage squad, but had to withdraw with injury shortly before it took place. In May 2015 he played in two friendlies against Croatia at U18 level, the age group above him.
