Vanja Milinkovic-Savic

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is a goalkeeper currently playing for Lechia Gdańsk.

Youth career

Vanja was confirmed as a new signing at Manchester United on 5th August 2014 after an agreement was put in place in May of the same year. He joined from FK Vojvodina in Serbia and was immediately loaned back to the club for the 2014/15 season, taking up a place in their first team. At 6ft 7in he cuts an imposing figure in goal.

In the summer of 2015, Vanja went on trial with SV Darmstadt 98 with a view to a loan but it never materialised. He spent the first half of the 2015/16 season living in Belgrade, training with local clubs and in November 2015 he had his contract with Manchester United terminated, citing work permit problems as the reason. Soon after he signed a contract with Lechia Gdańsk.
