Youth career
Marko came through the youth system at his hometown club Red Star Belgrade, where he made his first team debut at the age of 17. He joined Liverpool in January 2016, but was immediately loaned back to Red Star until the end of the season. He made his league debut for Liverpool in a 2–0 loss to Burnley on 20 August 2016, replacing Adam Lallana on 78 minutes.
International
Marko has represented Serbia at U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 level. He made his debut for the senior side on 25 May 2016.
