Solanke joined Chelsea as an Under-9 and made his youth team debut as an Under-15 during the 2012-13 campaign.

Dominic has represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level. He is also eligible to represent Nigeria.

Dominic was victorious with the [[England Under-16s]] in their Victory Shield campaign in 2012. In 2013-14, he contributed heavily as Chelsea won the [[2013-14 FA Youth Cup|FA Youth Cup]], scoring eight goals in eight appearances, including a brace in the last 10 minutes of the final second leg to win the trophy.

Dominic begins his two-year scholarship at Chelsea at the start of the 2014-15 campaign.
