Youth career
Sergi is a graduate of the famed La Masia Academy at Barcelona and joined Liverpool at the start of the 2013-14 campaign. Equally adept as an attacker on the right flank or as a striker, he made his youth team debut in November 2013 against Stoke City.

Canós has represented Spain at Under-17 level.
