Taiwo signed for Liverpool in August 2015 and, being unable to obtain a work permit, spent the following two seasons on loan at FSV Frankfurt and NEC Nijmegen respectively. In August 2017, he joined Belgian side Royal Excel Mouscron on another season-long loan.
