Youth career
Freddie, the son of former Crystal Palace goalkeeper and current Newcastle goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman, made his Under-18 debut at the start of the 2012-13 season as a 15-year-old. Previously, he made an appearance for the Under-21s, or reserves as they then were, in a friendly against York City at just 14 years old. He has been on loan at Hartlepool United on a 1-month youth loan at just 17.
International
Freddie has represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level.
