He was captain of the Greater Manchester U16 team which won the English Schools FA Inter County Trophy in 2014. They beat Lancashire 2-1 (aet) in the final at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on Saturday 15 March 2014, with Connor assisting for both goals and being named man of the match.
