Youth career
Patrick is a tricky, skilful attacking midfield player who made his Under-18 debut at the start of the 2012-13 season as a schoolboy. He made his first team debut a month after turning 17, coming off the bench for 35 minutes as the Cottagers went down to a disappointing 5-0 away defeat at Manchester City.

Roberts has represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level.
