Revision as of 12:49, 20 July 2016

The 2016-17 Premier League International Cup is the third season of the Premier League's continental competition for development teams. In line with changes across the board at this level, the age eligibility rules for the competition are now Under-23. The competition has expanded this season to 24 teams, half from England and half from Europe. The format remains unchanged, with teams split into six groups of four. Teams play each other once, either home, away or at a neutral venue (all games to be staged in England once again). The winners of each group, plus the two best placed runners-up, advance to the quarter-finals.

Aston Villa, Athletic Bilbao, Benfica, Celtic, Chelsea, Derby County, Dinamo Zagreb, Everton, Feyenoord, Hertha Berlin, Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Norwich City, Porto, PSV Eindhoven, Reading, Sparta Prague, Sunderland, Swansea City, Valencia, Villarreal, Wolfsburg
