Youth career

Matinyadze joined Wolves as an eleven year old, and has been a regular ever since. He started as a winger, but has recently been playing at right back. His first few years were spent in Zimbabwe, but he arrived in England aged eight. At one stage former Rugby Union star Austin Healey tried to get him to switch to rugby, but he wasn't keen to make that change.
