Youth career
Everton picked Green up from Bradford as a 15 year old in 2011. The fee was reported as an initial £300,000 rising to a potential £2 million when add-ons were triggered. He got a loan spell at Tranmere, getting six league games and scoring once, but was released in 2015 after four years with the club.

George has represented England at Under-16, Under-17, and Under-18 level.
