Youth career

Ryan joined Tottenham as an Under-14. In the 2013-14 campaign he made a total of three youth team appearances and scored one goal as an Under-16. The tall centre forward made twenty seven appearances and scored thirteen goals for Tottenham's Under-18 side in the 2014-15 season. He was also part of the Tottenham teams that won the Premier League Under-18 Champions Cup in August 2015, where he netted the winner against Benfica in the final, and the IMG Cup in December 2014.
