Youth career
Venancio is a winger who can play on either flank or if necessary, as a forward. He joined Manchester United in 2014 from Benfica after his family moved to England although he was also wanted by Manchester City. He made his first Under-18 appearance against Middlesbrough in December 2015 whilst still an Under-16. He wasn't offered a scholarship at the end of the 2015/16 season and joined Stoke City.
