Dael Fry is a centre-back currently playing in Middlesbrough’s Under-18 and Under-21 squad. He is into his second year of his scholarship and is one of the youngest in the squad, he was eligible to start the Under-18 season by just one-day of his age bracket.

Youth career

Dael signed for Middlesbrough at the mere age of seven years old after being scouted at Cleveland Juniors in the north-east. Dael however, took a season out to re-join Cleveland Juniors for the Under-9 season, he later re-signed with Middlesbrough at Under-10 level and has been with the club since. In pre-season, 2014' he was involved in the Under-21 matches' scoring a goal against first team welsh side, TNS fc at the age of 16. He has also captained at Under-21 level in a friendly.

Dael has represented England at both Under-17 and Under-18 level.

Career honours

He was part of the England Under-17 squad in 2014 that won the UEFA European Championships beating Netherlands in the final on penalties. He was also chosen by the LFE into their outstanding top 11 XI for his exellent progress and football excellence in May 2014.

Dael's two-year scholarship at Middlesbrough began at the start of the 2013-14 campaign.
