Brad made his senior debut in a Premier League match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 29 December 2013. He came off the bench in the 59th minute to replace the injured Joe Allen.
On 7 August 2014, Brad joined Swindon Town on a season-long loan. He made his debut for them two days later, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3-1 home win over Scunthorpe United, but he was recalled by his parent club over a contract dispute after less than three months. He did not feature for Liverpool on any level after March 2015 and was listed as "uncontracted" in the Australian FA's roster for the September 2015 international break, but on 17 November 2015, he confirmed on his Twitter account that he had signed a new contract with the club.
Brad has represented England up to U20 level and Autralia at U23 and first-team level. He made his senior debut for the Socceroos in a friendly against Belgium on September 4, 2014.
Brad signed a new contract with Liverpool in November 2015.
