Youth career

Brad joined the Chelsea academy in his early teens having previously been a part of the Elite Training Centre in Hampshire. He featured in some of the Under-18 team's pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2012-13 season but did not feature in a competitive fixture ahead of becoming a scholar in July 2013. He established himself as first choice in 2013-14 at Under-18 level ahead of the departing Ben Killip and earned maiden representation at both Under-19 and Under-21 levels before Christmas. He made his first appearance in the FA Youth Cup in the first leg of the Final against Fulham with Mitchell Beeney on first team duty.

A youth team regular in 2014-15, he was the reliable and at times crucial last line of defence as Chelsea won the FA Youth Cup again and added the 2014-15 UEFA Youth League crown to their long list of accolades, whilst he finished the campaign by earning further Under-21 minutes. Those minutes turned into him becoming first choice for much of the 2015-16 season with Beeney and Jamal Blackman otherwise indisposed and he used it to his advantage, performing consistently well and capping the season with a penalty save in the 2015-16 UEFA Youth League Final against Paris Saint-Germain, helping his team to a 2-1 victory.

International

Brad has no international representation to date, but was a regular part of the England Under-16 setup during the 2012-13 season.
