Youth career
Goddard joined Tottenham as an Under-10. The attacking midfielder made nineteen appearances for the Under-18s during 2013-14 and found the net twice, against Norwich and Aston Villa. He made his Under-21 debut in a 3-0 defeat to Sunderland on April 7, 2014. In the 2014-15 campaign Cy featured on twenty-three occasions for Tottenham’s Under-18 team, scoring three goals. He also appeared twice as a substitute for the Under-21s. Cy started the 2015-16 season in impressive form, earning praise from Tottenham’s Under-21 manager, Ugo Ehiogu, for his performances in pre-season friendlies against Glasgow Rangers and Peterborough.
