Youth career
Jimmy is a tall centre back who opted to move to United over a variety of other clubs. He signed a long-term contract and was training at the United academies in Ireland since he was 10.
Unfortunately, due to injury Jimmy missed the majority of the 2014/15 season. He returned to training early in 2015 and has spent time with the U-16 side to regain match sharpness. He finally made his Under-18 debut in the middle of April 2015, as a late substitute away to Everton, and his first start came a few weeks later in May.
Despite being a regular in the Under-18 side in the 2015/16 season, Jimmy opted to sign a three year contract with Burnley in July 2016.
