Youth career

Pritchard first started training with Tottenham at the age of six. The central midfielder appeared on seventeen occasions for Tottenham’s Under-18 team and found the net twice in 2013-14. He made his Under-21 debut as a substitute in a 4-1 victory over Newcastle on January 14, 2014. In the 2014-15 campaign Joe started eleven of the first thirteen games, scoring twice, for the Under-18s before breaking his leg against Norwich in November 2014. This injury kept him out for the remainder of the season. Despite being injured for the majority of the campaign Pritchard was rewarded with a professional contract at the beginning of 2015-16.
