Youth career
Jonathan Helm got scouted by Middlesbrough at the age of 8, he had four seasons with them before being released in the Under-12 season, he joined Boro again at Under-16 level and has played for Middlesbrough since. He made his Under-18 debut whilst he was still an Under-16, he is an athletic player who loves to get forward. Jonathan made his Under-21 debut at the Riverside Stadium against Aston Villa on 03/03/2014.

Jonathan has represented England Under-17's in the Nordics Cup back in summer 2013.
