Matthew Clarke

Matthew Clarke is a centre back for Ipswich Town U21s, although is still eligible for the U18s as a 2nd year scholar. He was on the bench for the 1st team in the away FA Cup 3rd round replay against Preson North End.

He made his debut at Crawley in the League Cup, starting at left back, and has gone on to make a number of substitute appearances for the 1st team.

Clarke joined the Ipswich academy as an U7 and started his scholarship in the 2013/14 season, he had previously played for the U21s while still a schoolboy.

Contract

Clarke signed his scholarship in the summer of 2013, and subsequently signed a pro deal which keeps him at the club until 2016, with the option for one more year.
