Youth career
Tom has been at Manchester United since the age of 8 and plays ideally as a number 10, behind a striker. Increasingly he's found himself playing off the left hand side, cutting in rather than hugging the touchline like a traditional winger. Having been a year younger than the successful 2010/11 FA Youth Cup core, getting playing time was always tricky so when Tom became a second year scholar it was unfortunate that his season was blighted by injuries. Despite that he scored nearly a goal a game when fit and had a penchant for the spectacular.
As he moved up to the Under-21 side in 2012/13 it was a familiar story with starts limited and only brief substitute cameos to impress. So as 2013/14 arrived the club made the decision to get Tom some regular competitive football and in November 2013 he joined Carlisle United on loan for just over 5 weeks. During his time at Carlisle he scored a few goals including a stunning strike against Tranmere Rovers where he beat 5 players before scoring. By the end of January 2014 Tom was ready for a Championship loan and he joined Yeovil Town on a three month loan. Despite Yeovil's relegation, Tom's performances were singled out for praise. He returned to Manchester United and was handed his first team debut against Hull City.
On 1st September 2014, Tom signed for Leicester City on a four year deal for a fee of £1m.

Tom has represented Wales at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 levels.
