Youth career

Tyler is a left back who's been with Manchester United for over 11 years. Although most frequently seen in the full back position, he is able to cover at centre back and left wing. He's known for being pacey and extremely athletic, something that may have prompted his inclusion in the 2012 first team pre-season tour.

He started the 2013/14 season with Manchester United's Under-21 side but went on to have Championship experience, joining Blackpool on loan for two months from November, and then Birmingham City at the end of January for the rest of the season.

Following a slightly surprising inclusion in Manchester United's pre-season tour squad, Blackett went on to perform superbly as a left sided centre back in America. Due to injuries and down to his performances on tour, he was handed his first team debut at home to Swansea City in the opening game of the 2014/15 season. He kept his place in the first team until West Ham at home on the 27th September after he'd been sent off the week before away to Leicester City.

Tyler joined Celtic on loan for the 2015/16 season.

In the summer of 2016, Tyler signed for Reading.
