Youth career
Declan joined Wolves at the U14 level. He has yet to be selected in a first-team competitive matchday squad, but he has been on a pre-season first-team tour.
International
Declan has played for Wales at various age groups, including U19 and U21. He made his international U21 debut when he came off the bench at half-time in a UEFA U21 Championship match against Bulgaria on 31 March 2015.

He received his first professional contract in February 2014. Just over a year later Wolves announced that they had taken up their option on a second year.
