Youth career

Cameron made his youth team debut while still an Under-16 in 2013-14, going on to make twenty eight appearances in the campaign. Cameron made a further eleven starts for the Under-18 team and appeared on nine occasions for the Under-21s during 2014-15. While still a first year scholar, Carter-Vickers was appointed captain of the Under-21s in March 2015.

International

Cameron has represented the USA up to Under-23 level. He impressed at the 2015 Under-20 World Cup, starting all of the USA's games as they were knocked out in the quarter finals.

He is also eligible represent England.
