Playing career

Kieran McKenna was a promising central midfielder in the Spurs academy, becoming a scholar in 2002, but was held back by a nagging hip problem which eventually ended his playing career when he was only 22. He represented Northern Ireland at various age groups.

Managerial career

With his playing career wrecked, he turned to coaching, initially at Tottenham before he joined Manchester United on 1 September 2016.
