Youth career

Timothy is a centre back who agreed to join Manchester United in the summer of 2014 and finally signed from Ajax in September of that year. Naturally a centre back, he can cover in both fullback positions and in front of the defence. He has mostly been used as a central midfielder by United.

In the 2015/16 Timothy moved up to the Under-21 squad, whilst still playing games for the Under-18 side only when they required additional numbers. He scored his first goal for the club for the Under-21 side against Norwich City in February 2016. Timothy made his debut for the First Team as a substitute against Arsenal in February 2016, coming on at left back.

International

Timothy has represented the Netherlands at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 levels.
