Tyrell made his youth team debut as an Under-15 before going on to make a further 13 appearances in 2013-14 while still a schoolboy. A regular in the Under-18 setup, he struggled to make a consistent breakthrough in the Under-23 ranks, ultimately leaving the Gunners months ahead of the end of the 2016-17 season in order to pursue new avenues.
